Semester 8 Chapter X: Windy Roads

Okay, so theres been some development in terms of our little covid situation. Technically speaking, people are free to leave the country at the moment. However, since theres basically no flights anywhere and most countries would still not accept foreigners, its pretty much useless. Still, it might be a little signal of what comes next. On the other hand, theres experts saying that lifting up some of these restrictions is premature as we have second wave of coronavirus coming and its shaping up to be stronger than the first one. With that said, theres experts saying the exact opposite too. Nobody know shit about shit. Thats the only real truth. Nothing really changes with my situation that is also factual.

So what has been up yall... Last Sunday, we had a little birthday celebration for my dad. Im not really into the who present culture. I dont enjoy buying shit or receiving shit. I do like birthdays tho. Having some cake and drinks, and spend some time with people you enjoy. On top of that, Im not usually around for my dads b-day. And yeah, there was cake, there were drinks and there were some presents too. A lovely evening within the family circle.

Over the week, I was still working out like crazy, I was teaching a bit... I did a run with my bro, I did some runs with my sis... Oh yeah, and on Friday I had the apartment all for myself which resulted into the only logical thing. I plugged in my mix and mic and recorded my first song since the summer. Words cannot express how much I love doing that shit. And I am satisfied with the outcome. Gonna re-record it next week and maybe share it with you guys later on.

Saturday morning, I hopped on my bike and met up with my bro once again. His wife's family has this lovely house about 50km away from Brno and we decided to cycle up there. First, we did some shopping, loaded the bags to the wifes car, as she was driving, and then we went towards the adventure. The weather was not the worst but there was like the strongest cold wind. Plus we were climbing for the most part. Took us like 3 hours and it was a bit of a challenge. It was awesome tho. For the rest of the day, we were chilling and drinking, and in the evening, we barbecued some vegan burgers. And I was sleeping like a baby that night. Like 9 hours straight. Thats like 3 nights worth of my usual sleep. Sometimes, countryside does that to me. Food for thought for the future.

Sunday, we got some breakfast and hopped back on the bikes. Our way back was way easier. For one, there was no wind. Also, we were pretty much going downhill the whole time. I even made it home for lunch and spent the afternoon with my sis and them. In the evening, I managed to socialize a bit outside of my family circle too. Went to a park for some wine. Lotta people go out to parks these days. Face masks still on but you can absolutely tell, theres more people in the streets. Its probably the combination of the weather and the fact the quarantine shit has been going on for quite some time. Anyways, hope yall good as well. Wherever you at, keep your head up and stay fucking safe. One!

Highlights:

  • The weekend bike trip. Fucking awesome.
  • Calls with my close ones. Did quite a lot of those last week.
  • My sis gave me a haircut! Never happened before but she killed it. Kudos!
